The 2023 National Championships were held at Trinity College Cambridge on 24th and 25th June. Guy Plowman won 8/9 in the swiss part of the tournament (losing only to David Hand) and beat last year's champion, Imre Leader, in the final to take the title.
Other special mentions:
Ian Turner who finished tied equal second (with Imre) on 7/9 in the swiss, losing out on a place in the final only through the tie-break.
Elijah Everett who took some noticeable scalps (including David Hand) in his first over the board tournament, finishing on 5 points.
